Training at Wag N’ Paddle

Relationship & Confidence Building (8am Saturday) -Build your relationship with your dog and give your pup a boost of confidence. Great for newly adopted dogs! Class activities include training and games tailored toward the dogs in class that day. If your dog is fearful of people or other dogs or has aggression issues, they will NOT be accepted into this group class and may be asked to leave if they are fearful during class.

Puppy Socialization (9am Saturday) – This class is specifically for dogs under 4 months old to work primarily on socialization. The primary critical socialization period in dogs ends around 4 months; it’s a short window! Poor socialization often leads to behavior problems later in life so early puppyhood is the time to focus on socialization rather than skills. We can teach those at any age! Class activities include puppy play time, socialization exercises, skills training, and pertinent puppy topics. This class operates on a 6-week schedule with different socialization exercises, skills training, and topics each week.

 Impulse Control (10am Saturday)– This class is designed for dogs who need to learn self control. Great for adolescent dogs! Class activities include training exercises and topics pertinent to impulse control (greetings, loose leash walking, waiting, boundaries, etc.). This class operates on a 6-week schedule with different training exercises & topics each week.

 Skills 101 (11am Saturday) – This class teaches dogs of any age basic skills. Great for new dogs and those who need to brush up on their skills! Class activities include training exercises and topics pertinent to basic dog ownership. This class operates on a 6-week schedule with different training exercises & topics each week.

Brain Busters (12pm Saturday) – For the dog that needs more mental exercise/stimulation in their life. Great for super smart or bored dogs, especially in the winter! Class activities include training games, scent work games, and foraging activities tailored toward the dogs in class that day.
